Perry, Harvey

Harvey Perry

Free Will Baptist Cemetery, Marker #36

(1879-1879)

Harvey was born about Jan 1879 and died 12 March 1879, the son of Harvey Cann and Sarah A (Dakin) Perry who are buried in the Port Maitland Beaver River Cemetery (aka Island Cemetery). Harvey is buried near his paternal grandparents Reuben and Drusilla (Cann) Perry and named on their gravemarker. We do not know his place or date of birth, nor the cause of his death.

Harvey is a Mayflower descendant. Through his father he is descended from Mayflower passengers John Alden and Richard Warren.

One of Harvey’s ancestors, also through his father, may have been William Knowlton, whose grave marker in Shelburne is among the earliest for any English settler in Nova Scotia—it simply reads “William Knowlton, 1632”.

More about Harvey and his parents will be found in the Old Stones Family Group Sheet Index.

Please leave a comment if you have any additional information about Harvey, particularly the date and place of her birth and the cause of his death.
