(1825-1911)
Miner was born 16 Oct 1825, the son of Robert and Nancy (Goudey) Parry. He died of “paralysis” in Beaver River, on 26 Aug 1911 at the home of his son Ainsley with whom he had been living since the death of his wife six years earlier. His birth place is not known. He was a ship’s carpenter and farmer. Miner married in Woodstock, Yarmouth County 10 Jan 1850 Sarah Tedford who is buried next to him and named on the same grave marker. They were both Free Baptists and had nine known children, only four of whom outlived them.
Miner is a Mayflower descendant. Through his father he is descended from Mayflower passengers John Alden and Richard Warren. Through his mother he is descended from passenger William Brewster.
