Godfrey was born abt 1807 (died age 89) and died 28 April 1897. He married Eliza Ann Parry who is buried next to him.

Your group is doing a great job of preserving cemetery records! There is a Bethune Family Bible in the Yarmouth Archives which would fill in some information on Godfry and his family. It was buplished in the Historigram so I have a copy if you care to have it.
I am a descendent of Daniel Bethune’s 3rd son John L but my Daniel was born around 1779 and married Mary Godfrey unless my names are hopelessly confused. Do you have anything like this in the Bethune Family Bible?

We are searching for Henry Bethune, Godfrey’s brother – any records?
Godfrey and Henry’s parents were Daniel Bethune and his wife Catherine. From my records – I have that they had 7 children, including Henry, who married twice – his first wife unknown, but his second wife would be a cousin of mine – Elizabeth Sollows. According to my information, Godfrey is the son of Daniel Bethune and Mary Godfrey. I have this from my mother, who was a granddaughter of their daughter Lucinda, who married Stephen Wetmore, son of John Clark.
